The opening of St Patrick's new church on the same site as the previous church on 17th March 1965 was remarkably well covered in the Scottish regoinal Press. The following articles come from 4 editions of various daily newspapers in the Glasgow area. Evening Citizen of Wed 17th March 1965 No. 31453, The Evening Citizen of Thursday 18th March 1965 No 31454, The Scottish Daily Express of Thursday March 18 1965, The Evening Times of Thursday March 18th 1965 No 27737. The original photographs may still exist in the archives of these newspapaers which now forms part of the Mitchell Library Collection - this is being investigated - but in the mean time here are copies of the original newspaper clippings.
